Kirikizan (Orbbed)

"Katana"

Ok so lets discuss our second 5th Generation pokemon, since this generation is the main fad at the moment for all our people in the youtube and basically online wifi battling community. Anyways lets just jump right to it now.

Item Held: Focus Sash

Nature: Impish

Effort Value Spread:

252 Def EVs, 252 Atk EVs, and 4 HP EVs

This gives us the average overall stats for this pokemon at:

HP~ 272
Attack~ 349
Defense~ 328
Sp. Atk~ 117
Sp. Def~ 176
Speed~ 176

Along with the following interchangeable moveset:

Night Slash
Iron Head
Psycho Cut
Sucker Punch

So based upon  what we have above gives us the great image of a defensively bulky but yet a strong attack to accompany this pokemon. So keeping that in mind, we are going to get the defense to the max by having the impish nature,  and also max out the attack. So we get impressive stats on both defense and attack, so now lets discuss the movesets. So we are going to give two strong stab moves hence Iron Head and Night Slash, and just a decent coverage with Psycho Cut. Since the sash will allow us to live once for a fact, we will use a final great stab with priority which is Sucker Punch. That is why I went with that moveset to compliment the stats and type coverage.

So overall, I hope this moveset can be of some use to you! Thanks for reading!

Hahakomori (Set-Up Sweep)

"Str8Buggin"

Ok so finally its time to discuss a 5th Generation pokemon, this is a pokemon with the types Bug/Grass for those who are unfamiliar with it. This pokemon has rather respectable offensive stats which I will show below.
Ok so we can see from the chart above, that this pokemon has a really attractive base power for both its Attack and Speed levels. So keeping this in mind we move on to the rest of the business.

Item Held: Custap Berry

Nature: Adamant

Effort Value Spread:

252 Atk EVs, 252 Spd EVs, and 4 HP EVs

This gives us the average overall stats for this pokemon at:

HP~ 292
Attack~ 335
Defense~ 196
Sp. Atk~ 135
Sp. Def~ 176
Speed~ 283

Along with the following interchangeable moveset:

Agility/Swords Dance
Endure
X-Scissor
Leaf Blade

So based on what is above we can now begin to see the great potential this pokemon has to offer. Also after the EV spread is done, we get respectable speed and great attack! Now for the stat boosting moves, if you use a nature for speed and max it out, then you should use Swords Dance as it raises the attack. But in this case we have a Attack nature with max attack, so we need Agility to allow the outspeeding of several pokemon. Endure will allow us to leave just in time to access the custap berry (which allows us to attack first once no matter the move). The final two moves are for great stab offensive moves, and provide decent neutral coverage.

So overall, I hope this moveset can be of some use to you! Thanks for reading!

Yanmega (Life Orb Sweeper)

"SwiftSweep"

Ok so as most of us know already, Yanmega has the ability "Speed Boost," which can potentially make this pokemon out matched when it comes to speed, if the ability is used wisely. Along with its great Sp. Atk base level, and decent speed to begin with, this provides us with a great lead or late game Sp. Atk sweeper. Its stats as shown below show great potential.

So now that we have the above in mind, lets jump right into business.

Item Held: Life Orb

Nature: Modest

Effort Value Spread:

252 Sp. Atk EVs, 252 Spd EVs, and 4HP EVs.

This gives us the average overall stats for this pokemon at:

HP~ 314
Attack~ 169
Defense~208
Sp. Atk~363
Sp. Def~147
Speed~ 289

Along with the following interchangeable moveset:
Protect/Hypnosis
Air Slash
Bug Buzz
Hidden Power Ground/Fire/Ice/Electric

So looking at all we have above, we can sense the potential for this type of pokemon. Now first off with the stats it has overall after the EV spread is invested, we have a very offensive pokemon, with great potential. Starting with Protect for the moveset, this gives us a free speed boost to get the extra advantage and scouting. Hypnosis misses often sadly, so its a risky choice, but is still useful. Air slash is the best stab move on the Special spectrum with a great added secondary effect which goes as well for Bug Buzz. I personally prefer Hidden Power Ground over any other type. This is mainly because it can surprisingly K.O a unsuspecting Heatran with 1 hit from hidden power, with the added boost of the Life Orb.This also rids us of possible walls such as bulky steel types, or threats like rock types and such, of course fire types should not be forgotten neither. But other forms of Hidden Power are worth considering.

So overall, I hope this moveset can be of some use to you! Thanks for reading!

Primeape (Choice Band Set)

"ItsOnLikDK"

Ok so first off lets talk about Primeape, obviously he is more desirable in the physical spectrum of potential pokemon sweeping or revenge killing. This pokemon also possesses a great movepool for the standard metagame in which the 4th Generation generally contains. With these thoughts in mind we also can look at the impressive stats below which show a high level of both Attack and Speed.

Now keeping in mind that we are focusing on the using the high speed and attack possessed in Primeape, so let me begin discussing one of my favorite builds below.

Item Held:  Choice Band

Nature: Jolly

Effort Value Spread:

252 Atk EVs, 252 Spd EVs, and 4 Hp EVs

This gives us the average overall stats for this pokemon at:

HP~ 272
Attack~ 309
Defense~ 156
Sp. Atk~ 140
Sp. Def~ 176
Speed~ 317

Along with the following interchangeable moveset:

Close Combat
Ice/Fire/Thunderpunch
Seed Bomb/Earthquake
U-Turn

So looking at what we have above, we can notice that this Primeape can be quite the contender! The reason behind Close Combat is due to the great base power it has along with STAB boost, making it quite the necessity. Any of the three elemental punches will add extra type coverage, preferably Ice or Thunder Punch as it helps eliminate direct threats from the weakness to Flying types, as well as sweep off potential problems such as dragon and bulky water types. Seed bomb is for the unexpected smack to pokemon such as Swampert, Quagsire, and such who would normally wall this pokemon forcing a switch. U-Turn is for the save exit when switching into a bad matchup, or for damage on Psychic which we are also weak to, and dark types as well.

I hope this moveset is of some use wether for personal use or reference, or even food for thought. Thank you.
